BIOGRAPHY
Francesco was born in Crema (CR) Italy in 1959 where he still lives and works today.
After completing his studies at the Liceo Artistico in Bergamo, he began his career in
stained glass under the guidance of master craftsman P.F. Taragni. In the following thirty years which his career has spanned he has gained vast experience in Holy Art as a painter, interior designer and project artist, but above all in his work in stained glass throughout Italy and Europe.
In 2009 his work in crystal entitled La Nostra Fede (Our Faith) was given to Pope Benedict XVI at one of his audiences.
Francesco's painting and research into technique has always run parallel with his work in glass and he has developed a complex and fascinating "brut" or "raw" style with which he interprets all the tensions we perceive in today's modern world. There is little room for optimism, yet he calls on Beauty to help us in our plight, that she may still save our world.
The artist has worked on numerous Installations and Murals in both private and public domains.
He has been teaching Painting and Design at the Scuola Serale Popolare in Crema since 1989.
